America’s Gastest Growing Sport:

The immensely popular game of Pickleball has spread so rapidly around the country that many RV parks, retirement projects and community  developments have either added courts or put them into their plans. “We are building more pickleball courts than anything else,” agreed MidPac’s owner Al Stultz, a former satellite tour tennis player from Seattle who has been building and resurfacing tennis and other sport courts for 30 years. This is to let you know that once again, during our summer play, we are extending an invitation to Pickleball players from Happy Trails, Corte Bella, Trilogy, Sun Village and Westbrook Village.  They are being asked to join us at Arizona Traditions Pickleball courts for Round Robin Play, each day this summer, Monday thru Saturday, beginning 1 June and ending 30 September, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each morning.  We ask that you provide us with the names of those players wishing to join us for play by the 24th of May, for our guards at the gate, so you may enter the community without any problems.  Please send the names to our club secretary, Bob Shaffer, at…  We would also ask that players wear their community name badge, and to make a financial donation of $2.00 to defray the cost of balls.

We look forward to playing together.

Rules and Guidelines History of Pickleball
The resurfacing of our 6 Pickleball courts is scheduled for sometime this July, 2014.  HOA has funds available that are earmarked for the project, as well as beginning construction on  the Bocce & Tennis Courts, which began Wednesday, July 9th. The courts will be closed for approximately 6-8 weeks.  There are some things that need to be done in preparation of resurfacing.  1, fencing around the courts must be raised in some spots.  2, Slab Gasket material must be applied in the seam between the court surface and sidewalks.  3, at least one of the net post may need to be replaced.  4, much of the green polycap material on top of the chain-link fencing needs to be replaced for safety reasons.  Keep tuned!
