The immensely popular game of Pickleball has spread so rapidly around the country that many RV parks, retirement projects and community  developments have either added courts or put them into their plans. “We are building more pickleball courts than anything else,” agreed MidPac’s owner Al Stultz, a former satellite tour tennis player from Seattle who has been building and resurfacing tennis and other sport courts for 30 years. This is to let you know that once again, we are in full swing into our Fall Pickleball Play.  Many of our winter homeowners and residents are back playing several days a week, joining with other Club Members, Monday thru Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each morning.  We also have added a number of events to our schedule, with “Ladder” play, group play, social Happy Hours, “Dinking” games, etc. We look forward to playing together, and are making good use of our courts each day during the week.  Come to the courts and join in.

Go to Purpose

The Pickleball Club is having their Annual Banquet and Meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2015.  The doors open at 5:00 PM and the Dinner starts at 5:30 PM.  It will be in the Ballroom.  There will be a 50/25/25 drawing along with a silent auction for a variety of Pickleball items.  The AZT Caterers are going to prepare the dinner and ballroom, and will be serving either chicken breasts OR  ham slices, new potatoes, mixed vegetables, rolls and butter, apple and pumpkin pie.  The cost of the dinner tickets will be $10 per person. You can buy them at the activity office or you can buy them on-line like you do for other AZT events.  Water will be available and the Bar will be open and attended by two bar tenders.  Again, the date is Thursday, January 8, 2015, so mark your calendars.  Dinner will be served at approximately 5:30 p.m.  If you only want to attend the Annual Club Meeting, it will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Making Use of our 6 courts:

The Arizona Traditions Pickleball Club wants our ever growing number of Pickleball players to have as much use of our six (6) courts as possible.
